Enthusiasm for worksite wellness programs may wane over time. It is important to continue working to enhance wellness programs to maintain or increase participation. The first step to energizing a program is to conduct another needs assessment. This is important to ensure the needs of employees have not changed. Participation may have decreased because of a change in needs and concerns. After the needs assessment, implementation of new policies and programs or continuation of old programs can begin.
